Artist Statement
The art-making process enables me to explore existing mythologies and those of my own making. With my painting and mixed-media creations I express both inner and outer connections, and celebrate the energy and beauty of the natural world. I am inspired by traditions that recognize the sacred dimension of life, and stories that draw close to the Great Mystery. Pegi Eyers
Artist Biography
Pegi Eyers creates her art with mixed-media, oil and acrylic painting on canvas or paper, nature assemblage, intricate cut paper, cast paper, stitching and embroidery, zines, handbound books, sculpture, photography, graphic design and digital applications. She offers her artworks as original art, giclée prints, t-shirts, note cards, handbound books, assemblage, and other mixed-media creations through her website Lyssanda Designs. Her work has been exhibited in multiple galleries and exhibitions. As an Independent Curator she has developed projects with artist collectives and arts organizations, and has been employed as an Arts Publicist and Fundraiser. She is also the author of Ancient Spirit Rising: Reclaiming Your Roots & Restoring Earth Community, a book on nature spirituality and the Ancestral Arts.
